GWO Advanced Rescue Training
The full GWO Advanced Rescue Training course enables participants to perform entry-type injured person rescue operations, in a wind turbine, using industry-standard rescue equipment, rescue methods, and techniques, exceeding those of GWO Working at Height.

Course Modules
The combined GWO Advanced Rescue Training course takes 3 days to complete with the option to take modules individually as required. Hub, spinner and inside blade rescue and nacelle, tower and basement rescue are valid for 2 years from the date of completion, requiring an Advanced Rescue refresher course. The single rescuer versions of these courses have no expiry date.
Prerequisites to take this course:
- Valid GWO Working at Height, First Aid and Manual Handling Certificates
- Be 18 or over on the date of the course
- Provide your own PPE - course attendee's single-use rescue kits will not be used in training
- This course involves the use of PPE, Rescue Equipment, Rescue Devices and other relevant equipment during practical and theoretical teaching. It DOES NOT provide any specific product training, qualification, approval, rating or sign-off of competence on any equipment used during training

GWO Advanced Rescue Training Refreshers
GWO Advanced Rescue Refreshers are required at 2-year intervals for the Hub, spinner and inside basement rescue and nacelle, tower and basement rescue modules..
GWO Advanced Rescue Training Refreshers takes 3 days to complete with the option to take modules individually as required.

- Be 18 or over on the date of the course
