GWO Basic Safety Training
The full GWO Basic Safety Training course is the global standard for safety qualifications in the Wind Energy sector. Technicians traditionally take the four core modules: Fire Awareness, First Aid, Manual Handling and Working at Height.

Course Modules
The full GWO Basic Safety Training course takes 5 days to complete with the option to take modules individually as required. Courses are valid for 2 years from the date of completion.
Course prerequisites:
- Be 18 or over on the date of the course
- Provide your own PPE - course attendee's single-use rescue kits will not be used in training
- This course involves the use of PPE, Rescue Equipment, Rescue Devices and other relevant equipment during practical and theoretical teaching. It DOES NOT provide any specific product training, qualification, approval, rating or sign-off of competence on any equipment used during training

GWO Basic Safety Training Refreshers
GWO Basic Safety Training Refreshers are required at 2-year intervals for each GWO Basic Safety module.
GWO Basic Safety Training Refreshers takes 3 days to complete with the option to take modules individually as required.
Pre-requisites to take this course:
- A valid GWO Certificate
- Be 18 or over on the date of the course
- Provide your own PPE
